Are you a journalist who enjoys reporting on topics that directly affect your community? WITF is looking for an engaging individual to join our team and provide written and on-air coverage of the developing cultural battleground over what students are taught in K-12 schools. As a member of WITF’s regional newsroom, your reporting will focus on community engagement and work to improve the level of conversation around educational policy and their impact on teachers, students, and communities.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience as a journalist with experience reporting on-air. WITF believes that community engagement is key to effective journalism. You should be driven to be out in the communities we cover, talking with our neighbors. If you’re outgoing and believe in strong community-focused journalism, this could be the job for you.
