Shannon Barbour, Editor at Wondermind, is looking for pitches: Pitch callout: Wondermind is looking for freelance writer pitches that center personal stories about mental health. For November and December, we’re interested in pitches that discuss family (including estranged and chosen), dating and relationships, deleting dating apps for your mental health (this one’s a top priority), holidays, traveling as a plus-size person (another priority). Body image, disordered eating / eating disorders, diet culture, trauma and stress disorders, boundaries, habits, resolutions, and inner child work. If you have any pitches that fit these topics and how they relate to mental health / fitness, email me at Shannon.Barbour@Wondermind.com. This is an ongoing pitch callout, but ideas submitted by Nov. 1 will take priority. We’ll let you know if it’s been accepted by mid-November. If you have a general topic you’d like to discuss and are confident you’re the best person to write about it, email me. We can fine-tune ideas for the right writer. And if your ideas don’t fall into these categories, please still feel free to reach out. Pitches should include a headline, ~2 paragraphs describing the idea, how this topic *personally* relates to you or someone you will interview, why you’re the one to write this, your relevant experience, and links to clips and online profiles / websites. Please do not include Google Doc links. If you include attachments, they should be PDFs. All subject lines should start with “Wondermind Freelance Article Pitch.” Rates start at $300 and are dependent on the topic, article format, and reporting required.

I think that just about covers it. Please know that I do my best to respond to as many emails as possible, but I'm only one person. Please don't follow up every day or multiple times per week unless it's truly an urgent pitch. Thanks.
