The Wall Street Journal Magazine seeks a self-motivated editor to contribute to its cultural coverage, both in print and online. The role reports to the magazine’s executive editor and the editor-in-chief. In addition to developing thought-provoking and relevant stories about music, art, food, entertainment and travel, the editor will oversee and wrangle sources for three of the magazine’s regular print features: “Columnists,” “Tracked” and “Still Life.” The editor will also contribute weekly to WSJ.’s cultural vertical, assigning, editing and writing regular digital features to augment the magazine’s print coverage, as well as generating digital-first ideas. Accordingly, the ideal candidate must be flexible, news-oriented and forward-thinking and have an established network of freelance writers.
