Europe Markets Editor

New Posted 31 January 2019 | London, United Kingdom | The Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal seeks a savvy, driven editor to lead our coverage of markets out of London, the world's financial capital, at an especially tumultuous time. As Brexit looms and Europe sorts out its future, this editor will direct a team of the best financial reporters around, inspiring them to deliver informed explanations of why markets do what they do - be it in stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities or derivatives - as well as newfangled assets not yet invented.

The editor should be able to move quickly to put context into the biggest stories driving markets and economies, and also be expert at nurturing longer term investigations and projects. The terrain is vast. We treat London as a listening post for global capital flows, telling stories about the people who drive those flows and the people who depend on them — wherever they may be.
