European Business Reporter

New Posted 12 August 2020 | London, England | WSJ

Dow Jones International Limited (The Wall Street Journal) is looking for a European Business Reporter, based in London, focused on trade, geopolitics and the competitive advantages and disadvantages of regions as they try to emerge from the pandemic. The beat will include areas of intense national rivalry including, for example, dominance of 5G and other technologies. A key understanding of the U.S. and Chinese technology industry is a must, as is an ability to write broadly about the global technological and economic rivalry between China and the U.S., and how that plays out in Europe.

The European Business Reporter will seek to illuminate the impact of geopolitical and macroeconomic forces through coverage of companies and industries. We are looking for a seasoned Reporter with a proven track record of breaking news and writing deeply reported features.

We are also looking for someone who will dominate the beat with scoops and enterprise, work well with colleagues world-wide and embrace various forms of storytelling. Experience writing about Chinese businesses, global technology trends and the telecommunications industry is required.
