News Reporter

WXXV-TV/Morris Network is a television station located in Gulfport, Mississippi. The station serves the 157th size DMA of Biloxi/Gulfport and is home to several networks, including FOX, NBC, My Network, Gulf Coast CW+, Defy Network, and Grit Network. WXXV also has a local news product, NEWS 25, and currently airs 9 newscasts each weekday and two on Sunday nights.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a News Reporter. The News Reporter will be responsible for reporting on local events, writing news stories and press releases, researching and delivering daily news reports, and conducting interviews. This role may also require the News Reporter to appear on camera and deliver news segments.

Qualifications

Strong news writing and journalism skills
Experience in reporting and conducting interviews
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily deadlines
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
Experience with video and audio editing software is a plus
