Yahoo Finance is looking for an Anchor with a wealth of financial news reporting experience. The ideal candidate should have exceptional on camera skills as well as being a strong financial news reporter and writer. This role is required to be onsite in our New York office daily.

Responsibilities:

Anchor up to 2-hour blocks of a financial news broadcast: Yahoo Finance Live

Analyze market data and offer live analysis in real-time as part of our daily show coverage

React in real-time to market moves, financial data, and breaking news

Ability to break down complex economic info and translate it effectively for the live audience

Ability to ad-lib in breaking news situations

Assist in writing and copy-editing content for presentation to our audience 

Work with lead producers on the direction of daily broadcast

Ability to book high-profile guests

Interview CEOs, top market experts, and analysts on the latest market news

Write as many as 3-4 articles each week based on live segments and supplemented with additional reporting

Pitch unique guests/angles on the biggest financial stories of the day

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years experience as an anchor

Minimum 3 years of financial reporting

Four-year college degree or equivalent in proven industry experience

Ability to think quickly during breaking news, ability to adapt to program and anchor style

Excellent writing and editing ability

Strong time management skills; adept at setting priorities and managing deadlines
