The Houston Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business Awards honors businesswomen at companies based in the Houston area.

WWMB will have multiple honorees announced in each of the following industry focused categories. A nominee cannot be nominated in multiple categories. Note: The nominee should be entered based on their company's industry. For instance, a nominee who is a CFO for a hospital system should be nominated in the health care category, not the finance category. HBJ reserves the right to re-categorize nominees as needed.

• Outstanding business leaders in energy
• Outstanding business leaders in finance (includes accounting, banking, wealth management, etc.)
• Outstanding business leaders in health care
• Outstanding business leaders in real estate (includes commercial and residential)
• Outstanding business leaders in professional services (includes PR agents, marketing agencies, staffing, consulting, etc.)
• Outstanding business leaders in law (note: lawyers working in-house for a company should select the category corresponding with her company's industry)
• Outstanding business leaders in hospitality, restaurant and retailing
• Outstanding nonprofit business leaders (government, social services, etc.)
• Women to watch (10 years or less in their industry)
