Through Friday, July 7th, the Puget Sound Business Journal is accepting nominations for the 2023 Director of the Year Awards. We are seeking board directors who demonstrate outstanding performance in their roles as corporate directors on either nonprofit or for-profit boards.

Board Directors demonstrate integrity, mature confidence and informed judgment. These individuals demonstrate the highest ethical standards on both a personal and a professional level, set a notable tone at the top in promoting the company’s vision and values, and consistently demonstrate candor, fairness, and openness to other opinions. Under duress, they exhibit courage and leadership and do what is best for the corporation and its shareholders in the face of countervailing pressures inside or outside the boardroom.
