The glittering awards ceremony – dubbed the Oscars of the housebuilding industry – celebrates some of the brightest stars in the housing sector, honoured those who won their category and celebrated all of the well-deserved finalists too. The oscars of the housebuilding industry – now in their 42nd year and renowned as the most prestigious accolades in new homes.
The WhatHouse? Awards 2021 shone a light on customer-focused housebuilders and housing associations, large and small. Those who have refused to be bowed amid the unprecedented challenges of 2020 / 2021 and continued to deliver the best new homes in Britain. The calibre of entrants in each category was very high, with Britain’s housebuilding elite and the new build supply chain filling every seat in the room.
The gala luncheon was hosted by one of Britain’s greatest-ever Olympians Sir Chris Hoy and renowned sports broadcaster and presenter Clare Balding – BBC colleagues who presented the cycling from the velodrome at this year’s Tokyo Olympics.
