In recent years, confidence and trust in our financial system has waned, yet little has changed. The same banks at the bottom of today’s problems are writing a new chapter in the never-ending story of mortgage crises, excessive speculation and manipulation of interest rates. Everyday life in a conventional bank is often frustrating. Two of my friends, Chris and Ralf have experienced this first hand and it was during lunchtimes in such an institution that we discussed our visions of a different, better bank: 1bank4all.
