The total value of insurance asset management and investment products in China is estimated to already exceed 60 billion RMB. Despite significant achievements in recent years, the industry still faces significant obstacles, among them low interest rates, and strict regulatory oversight with regard to product liquidity, overseas investment and diversification. In order for the insurance asset management and investment sector in China to achieve levels of growth seen in developed countries, companies must react and adjust to changes in the market and regulatory environment.

The summit will cover a wide range of timely and relevant topics related to insurance asset management and investment. Presentations from policymakers will highlight recent changes to relevant laws and regulations in China. Speakers drawn from prominent insurers will provide an alternative perspective, using statistical analysis and case studies to detail how companies have adapted to the reforms in China, as well as to the European Union’s Solvency II insurance regime, which took effect in early 2016.

Further presentations and panel discussions will delve into important industry trends, such as:
• overseas insurance investment funds
• pension fund practices in China and Asia at large
• the balance between risk management and insurance capital investment
• asset allocation strategies for insurance companies with private equity, multi-asset, offshore real estate, quantitative, and alternative investments.

In providing this platform for exchange and cooperation, Duxes hopes to further the development of the insurance asset management and investment sector, both within China and around the world. Opportunities for qualified presenters and panelists still remain, and potential delegates involved in insurance asset management, insurance, reinsurance, fund management, asset management, consulting, accounting, and other related fields, are invited to attend.
