Details

Africa is naturally endowed for agricultural excellence. The Continent produces 70% of the world’s cocoa, 45% of the world’s cashew, and is the leading producer of cassava, yam, moringa, and rooibos. It also has the 60% of the world’s uncultivated arable land. In addition, African food is diverse, tasty and highly nutritious. However, the region continues to underperform due to serious structural, infrastructural and skills gaps.

Entrepreneurs across the different value chains and ecosystems are the lifeblood of this sector, which is projected to exceed a $1 Trillion by 2030. They are driving innovation and leveraging technology to address the challenges in their ecosystem.
These entrepreneurs will transform the African agriculture and global landscapes, and provide practical solutions to changing paradigms about African food, building bridges between African and the rest of the world, breaking stereotypes and biases and enabling a deeper appreciation of our connections as humans.
