During this event, attendees will learn about the systems and design strategies that the project team employed, including the high performance building envelope to keep loads low, and electric cooling and domestic hot water systems to offset the onsite energy usage. In addition to the technical aspects of this project, the presenting team will share their integrated design approach. Early on in the process, the entire team was assembled, including the owner, a contractor acting as the cost estimator, the architect, all engineers, and the energy consultant and as a result, the team was able to evaluate a number of different cost-reduction strategies for the project while keeping the energy goals front and center.
