• Costs are still rising for both for sale and for rent housing — albeit slowly. According to Bisnow, asking rents rose 0.4% month-over-month, in June, coming in at $1,726, while year-over-year, rent growth for the month was 1.3%. Single-family rents also grew in June, but that sector too has seen a slowdown in rental growth, dropping 80 basis points for the month to 1.3% year-over-year growth in June.
