Join Pollination and the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) for the second expert panel discussion in our three-part series on the significance of COP26 for investors.
The second webinar will summarise important announcements that emerged from the negotiations and provide an analysis of how successful COP26 was in delivering on its objectives. Through the discussion, we will explore key themes from the COP and what it all means for investors, including progress made towards securing global net zero by 2050 and the 1.5 degree target, focusing on announcements relating to NDCs, coal phase out, deforestation, electric vehicles and renewables. The session will offer insights into adaptation goals, including the role of nature-based solutions and growing scrutiny of nature risk.
Finally, will provide an assessment of developments relating to the mobilisation of finance, including enablers and barriers to climate capital allocation, and opportunities for private investors to collaborate with governments and civil society to accelerate climate action.
