Cross-border trade in financial services is underdeveloped within the EU, and it meets numerous obstacles between non-EU countries and EU members like the US or Switzerland. International trade organizations like WTO have not achieved much progress in the area of financial services. With Brexit, the issue may become even more serious. At the same time, many non-EU destinations like the US, Switzerland, Singapore or Hong Kong are fighting for market shares.
