Latin America is on course for its second year of economic slowdown after the strong recovery that followed the recession caused by the pandemic. The regional economic moderation is explained both by the slowdown of the global economy and by the weakening of domestic demand caused by the economic policy adjustment. Even though the economic trajectory may face some turbulence, the region will still remain on positive ground and manage to avoid a hard landing. In this seminar we discuss the relevant factors behind the economic outlook for the region and present the imminent risks that lie ahead in the face of worsening climate change.
