The purpose of the session is to present the origins of the FinTech movement and explain why it is different from other purely technology trends. In particular, as an ‘explosion’ of ideas, FinTech represents a potent disruptor to the traditional financial platforms, and therefore, the question of how best to most effectively leverage it, will be addressed.
Some of the cases studies covered will include m-Pesa - Payments, Saudi Monetary Authority - Ripple Payments, Mizuho - AI Compliance, , Gamification - Spark Profit, CITI Bank - Digital Banking. Importantly, the session will discuss the role of the sandbox, and how your own organisation can make use of them as part of your own FinTech journey.
