Global challenges such as climate change require a collective and global response, including a greening of financial systems across the world. While there is great demand for green projects in emerging markets, these still represent only a fraction of the world’s green finance universe.

Many developing countries have launched successful initiatives to attract green investments and capitalise on this fast-growing market to accelerate their green transition. This webinar will showcase concrete sustainable finance initiatives from developing countries in all four corners of the world, highlight the ambitions and objectives driving these initiatives and illustrate what international cooperation brings to these projects.

We look at the role different stakeholders from developed countries can play in supporting green initiatives through knowledge sharing, capacity building and financial support.

Key areas of discussion:

• Concrete sustainable finance initiatives in emerging markets
• Challenges and opportunities of a truly global green finance
• Ways to drive large-scale private and public sector engagement and investment in developing countries and encourage local initiatives
• Lessons learned and future outlooks for green finance in emerging markets
