Participants will gain insights on global employment tax developments and practical ways to anticipate and address related challenges.
The United States Internal Revenue Service, like many tax authorities both inside and outside the US, continues to apply increased scrutiny on employment tax compliance. Notably, significant taxpayer-favorable adjustments on quarterly tax filings are being examined, a practice that occurred even before the 2020-2021 Employer Retention Credit (and its tax filing adjustments). We’ll discuss:
• Current employment tax trends including the IRS’s newly expanded population of examination agents.
• Methods employers' can take to adopt a proactive mindset and implement leading practices for tax risk management.
• Approaches and tools to enhance employers' global compliance.
