In this webinar we want to give you an update on the status of the various regulatory measures (SFDR, taxonomy, MiFID 2 sustainability preferences) and then focus on a topic that particularly stands out in connection with ESG and the associated challenges in practice: data .
Data is the basis for all reporting requirements of banks, asset managers or insurance companies. In order to meet the requirements of SFDR or TCFD, for example, as well as to ensure the internal management of ESG exposure, appropriate data is needed. What sounds relatively simple poses considerable challenges for many financial service providers – and their customers too. The required information and data are sometimes difficult to collect, sometimes contradictory or non-existent.
In particular, the following questions arise:
• What does a structured process model look like to solve the issue of providing financial institutions with ESG data?
• How can gaps in the data supply be eliminated?
• How should processes and structures be designed in order to use data sensibly for company-wide control?
