Euro Mine Expo has been organized since 2008, but it started way earlier!
In 1924 a gold rush started in the Skellefteå Fields, based on discoveries made by the team later becoming Boliden mines. Northern Sweden is Europe’s most mineralized area and today 5 mines are operational within 100km from Skellefteå and a smelter within 20km. With only one hour to Arlanda, the location is excellent so it’s no coincidence that the mining industry together with Georange decided to establish a meeting point in Skellefteå!
Nolia accepted the challenge to organize the expo and with the goal of becoming Europe’s most important meeting point for the mining industry, Euro Mine Expo started off in 2008.
The first time it focused on the conference and learning sessions, however the interest in the small exhibition was overwhelming and already the next time, in 2010, the trade fair expanded significantly.
Since the start, Euro Mine Expo has more than doubled in size and more than 2000 participants are expected in 2020.
We like to develop the North of Sweden through meetings!
Nolia is the largest organizer of trade and public fairs and larger Conferences in the North of Sweden. The reason? We like to develop through organizing meetings.
