On this occasion, the Congress will also be preceded by a Library Session dedicated to the 20 years of cooperation between the tax libraries of the IBFD in Amsterdam and the CDiSP in Lodz.
The Congress will be held at the premises of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz, situated not far from the famous Piotrkowska Street and Manufaktura Centre.
The General Assembly will take place on Thursday. The ensuing Welcome Ceremony will also include a lecture on the enchanting history of Lodz as a multicultural city. The first day will be closed by an informal get-together at the Faculty lobby, where this year’s European Academic Tax Thesis Award (EATTA) prize winners will be announced and books related to the Congress topic, selected from the vast library collections of the IBFD and the CDiSP, will be exhibited.
On Friday, the Academic Committee under the chairmanship of Peter Essers, General Reporter Edoardo Traversa and the other reporters and panelists will discuss the very topical subject of Corporate Tax Residence and Mobility.
On Saturday, the presentation by this year’s winner of the EATTA will take place and the “Academic Topic” will be presented by Ana Paula Dourado and the Academic Chairman of IBFD, Pasquale Pistone. The exciting academic topic for 2017 is Peer Review and Open Access in Taxation.
Friday evening will give attendees the opportunity to meet for a Congress dinner in the city centre and enjoy Polish cuisine in its modern form.
