The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Austin Alliance for Economic Inclusion will host a webinar for banks and community-based organizations to promote free tax assistance to low- and moderate- income households in Austin. The webinar will feature Volunteer Income Tax Assistance providers who will share tax resources that benefit consumers and small businesses. Presenters will also discuss opening bank accounts spurred by tax returns and explore tax season partnership opportunities. The FDIC will share their #GetBanked resources designed to help unbanked populations open bank accounts and save their tax refunds.
