There’s never been a more exciting time to be active in the U.S. floating wind space. The DOI recently announced a new goal for U.S. floating wind, which means the industry is projected to deploy 15 GW of installed floating offshore wind capacity by 2035. Industry collaboration will be vital to tackle barriers related to permitting, grid connectivity, port infrastructure, workforce development and supply chain to make floating wind a commercial reality.
