During the 2018 summit, we explored the challenges and opportunities associated with the monetization of IoT data. Although IoT adopters are still struggling to go beyond mere data collection, the European IoT market is evolving and is increasingly polarizing into two groups when it comes to IoT attitudes: the Heroes — those with company-wide IoT strategies — and the Followers, still struggling to go beyond isolated POCs.
This year’s IDC’s European IoT Data Summit 2019 will focus on this dichotomy IoT maturity scenario, offering insights into the differences between organizations in the early stages of their IoT maturity and those managing to deploy IoT at scale across Europe and driving value from their IoT Data. During the summit we will explore how agile approaches can be integrated into IoT initiatives, to enable scalability across the business, as well as the key characteristics and best practices from leading organizations.
The theme of the summit is IoT: From Explorers to Heroes, Deploying IoT at Scale.
Over 2 days we will discuss new use cases, IoT revenue opportunities and how to deploy IoT at scale, looking at Data platforms, Data security, the role of AI and Core-Cloud-Edge Computing balance to determine how European organizations are delivering successful IoT implementations and lessons to be learnt.
