As the beacon of Islam for the global Muslim community, Saudi Arabia’s Islamic banking and finance industry shines as brightly. The Kingdom boasts one of the most sophisticated Shariah finance markets in the world supported by a robust regulatory infrastructure and deep political will.

Saud Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 fuels the Kingdom’s Islamic finance development agenda, further cementing its anchor as an Islamic finance capital of the world. Already, Shariah assets account for more than half of its domestic banking market share and the government has established a vibrant domestic Sukuk market. There are still a multitude of opportunities for the Kingdom to capture as one of the largest economies in the GCC and armed with a national plan to internationalize its economy in a bid to reduce hydrocarbon dependency.

It is in this backdrop that the Dialogues will return to Saudi Arabia following the success of the inaugural Dialogue in 2022. Our ninth year in the vibrant Arab nation, the dialogues will explore the hurdles and opportunities in one of the most active and influential markets in the Islamic financial world.
