Industrial technologies play a key role in the European industry. They provide essential foundations for the competitiveness of the European Union, shape all sectors of the economy and contribute to the solution of societal challenges and a sustainable future.

This event provides a platform for stakeholders from research organisations, industry and policy making to discuss future trends, technological challenges und further steps to shape and strengthen European industrial and research policy in the field of key enabling technologies such as nanotechnologies, advanced materials, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing under the considerations of socially fair transition to a sustainable and green economy.

Furthermore, the impacts and positive effects by 2030 and 2050 of the presented technologies and processes on the climate change will be considered and discussed. An integrated brokerage event will also be held in order to support conference participants looking for prospective partners for the first calls in industrial technologies within the European Union’s “Horizon Europe” research and innovation programme.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the advisory board and the organizing committee we are delighted to invite you to the “IndTech 2020 – Transition to Sustainable Prosperity” conference in Mainz located in Germany. Together with you we want to discuss future developments, exchange information and strengthen the collaboration across Europe. A special focus is put on thematic priorities like battery technologies, biologically-inspired innovation , manufacturing technologies, low carbon and circular economy.
