Details

A private meeting for the FT and RSGI’s global community of innovative law firm leaders, chief legal officers, chief executives and other leaders of legal service and technology companies.

There has never been a more important moment for the global legal profession to raise its head above the social and business parapets.

With 40 countries going to the polls, many feel that democracy is under threat. Generative AI presents a regulatory challenge worldwide and for many white-collar jobs and businesses, it is an existential threat that requires cross-border collaboration and standards. Geopolitical strife continues, with war grinding in the Ukraine and Gaza. Against this backdrop, the rule of law has never been more important. And implicitly, the role of influential lawyers in ensuring stability and balance.

The Summit’s interactive sessions are a unique opportunity for legal leaders working in-house and in private practice to discuss and help shape, not only their own response but, the response of the legal industry to these challenges. The legal industry itself is in an existential crisis, and the pace of technological, societal and business change is unprecedented. Remaining relevant for in-house legal teams and private practice law firms has never been harder. The Summit will explore changing notions around culture, influence, commercial relationships, business models, functional structures and leadership with presentations and robust debate from some of the most impactful people in the legal industry.

The summit coincides with the publication of the annual FT Business Legal Leaders Report, an investigation into the top lawyers working for major corporations and how they are using their influence and unique positions to help ensure the security, stability and sustainability of business. The profiled individuals will be revealed at the evening networking drinks after the summit, with one invited to give the final keynote address of the day.
