After instant payment transactions had already been successfully launched in Europe, the receipt of instant payment transactions will also be mandatory in Switzerland for the largest banks in terms of volume from August 2024. The basis for this will be provided by the SIC5 platform . In addition to the possible advantages that arise for banks and customers alike, this change is also associated with numerous technical and operational changes, requirements and investments.
