We want to engage with the growing community of CPCUs across the Asia-Pacific region and we want to leverage the momentum generated by one of the largest InsurTech conferences taking place in Singapore during the same week. The symposium is open to all risk management enthusiasts, insurance nerds and RiskTech geeks.
Technology is pervasive and the pace of technological progress will go unabated despite potential setbacks in a near-future due to data privacy concerns. The role of insurers is expected to shift towards loss prevention. At the same time, cyber risk exposures within emerging and traditional risks will continue their inexorable ascension. (Re)insurance companies are struggling to develop products adapted to the economical, societal and technological tidal waves that characterize our times. To address this fast-evolving risk landscape, responsive innovative risk transfer solutions and efficiencies throughout the insurance value chain are essential. Major transformations are currently underway: no matter where you turn your head, analytics suites, multi-cloud platforms, ecosystems, blockchain, AI algorithms, machine learning and IoT are everywhere, very far from being fully operationalised and efficiently used though. The picture would not be complete without the specter of climate change hovering over our heads and the transition risk that will accompany Humanity's journey towards a vital state of sustainable equilibrium.
The agenda comprises
Keynote presentations on emerging risks, technology-induced shift from risk transfer to loss prevention, cyber, innovative risk solutions;
Workshops and/or panel discussions where attendees will unleash their creativity and reimagine the risk management and insurance landscape of the future;
• Keynote presentations on model risk and climate change transition risk;
• Global markets update;
• Presentation of the CPCU Society, structure, functioning, strategy, continuous education and upcoming changes;
• A closing keynote on quantum computing and its meaning to risk quantification;
• A recreational event on the afternoon of the second day on February 6 for our overseas CPCUs.
• The above topics are the foundation for the event. We will continue to provide updates as the speakers are approved
If you want to share your knowledge, get inspiration and learn from others, join us to imagine how to best cope with the risk landscape of the future!
