Think you don’t need to know about international tax matters? Think again… SA individuals and businesses are increasingly active overseas. This short seminar will provide you the necessary international tax knowledge to assist your clients to navigate international markets.
International tax is often an all or nothing topic. You either practise it or do not. The pace at which clients now move means that being black and white on the topic is no longer a realistic expectation. Yes, a deep dive into the international tax pool with a full-time adviser is very likely to be too much, so a light touch, coal face approach to real international tax issues becomes critical.
The program is intended to cover issues such as how to appropriately determine tax residency for companies, trusts and individuals, tax advice for inpats or expats, as well as for Australian businesses with an international presence. The event will provide practitioners who deal with these scenarios, and most in between, with a good understanding without having to specialise in international tax. It will provide attendees with practical takeaways that they can implement back in the office.
