The regulations implementing the Maryland digital advertising gross revenues tax were recently finalized and adopted by the Maryland Comptroller. The final regulations were largely unchanged from the proposed regulations, which ANA argued in comments were vague and insufficient, and challenges to the law persist in both federal and state court.
Notwithstanding the outcome of the lawsuits, the regulations will take effect on January 1 and the first filing obligation for digital advertisers conducting business in Maryland will be in April. This webinar will provide a review of the regulations and the compliance issues and burdens they raise for our members.
