This event is planned and organized by AME Mocambique in association with Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) and it is supported by the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME).
The event saw over 520 delegates from more than 20 countries in attendance, consolidating its position as one of the largest national, regional, and global events uniting industry players.
What funds should I bring with me?
• The currency is the Metical (pl. Meticais, pronounced meticash).
• Take Rands or US Dollars CASH – Credit cards are accepted at most hotels
• Exchange money at banks
• Most Businesses quote in South African Rand (ZAR) or US Dollars (US$) and both are widely, but not exclusively, accepted around the country
• ATMs are available around Maputo
• The official currency is the Mozambican metical which is tied to the Euro at a fixed exchange rate of 0.014 EURO
What should I bring with me?
• A photocopy of your passport – as it is always advisory to carry your ID with you
• Insurance – you are responsible for arranging your own travel cover
• Credit card – Visa is accepted at the main hotels
• Medical Kit – always a good option just in case
• Malaria tablets and mosquito spray – you are in a malarial zone
