The goal of financial inclusion is to improve the well-being of individuals. Financial access facilitates day-to-day living, and helps people, families and businesses plan for everything from long-term goals to unexpected emergencies. With less than three years left to reach the Universal Financial Access by 2020 goal, this is a call for global action on what remains to be done and how to meet the UFA2020 goal, based on the just-released Global Findex data, which will showcase the world’s progress and gaps in financial inclusion. Panelists will discuss how to tackle remaining barriers and how technology can supercharge progress toward financial access and account usage.
