The Canadian Pension Risk Strategies conference provides pension plan sponsors with practical real-world information for decision-making, planning and implementation of the risk management strategies that best fit their pension plan. Our panels will cover an array of risk management strategies from hibernation to re-risking to the considerations for a pension risk transfer.

A lot has changed over the last year. Practitioners will share what they are doing today and why they have chosen the strategies that they did. Through presentations, panel discussions and case studies, the Canadian Pension Risk Strategies conference provides a full and exciting day of thought-provoking insights.

Our conference will examine current topical issues such as:

• An update on where we are today and how the pandemic has affected de-risking strategies and solutions
• Practical suggestions on how to de-risk in the time of COVID-19 and ways to implement better pension risk management
• The increased popularity and call for standardized ESG-related reporting as a means to better manage risk exposure
• LDI techniques in an ultra-low interest rate environment
• Partial risk transfers – when they are indicated and how they are transacted
