The 2018 Partnership for Financial Inclusion Knowledge Event, hosted by IFC and the Mastercard Foundation, brings together industry practitioners and experts to share experiences, discuss challenges, and create new ideas for the future of financial inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. It is the fourth knowledge event of the Partnership for Financial Inclusion, a $37.4 million joint initiative of IFC and the Mastercard Foundation to expand microfinance and advance digital financial services in the region.

The gathering is a practical, interactive experience that convenes about 250 regional and global participants, and has previously been held in Abidjan (2016), Johannesburg (2014), and Nairobi (2013). This years' agenda features discussions on the business case for digital financial services, innovations in digitizing value chains, e-commerce and fintech platforms, and understanding the impact of digital financial services on the end user, among others.
