By 2025 the total amount of data created, captured and consumed is predicted to reach 175 zettabytes. However, much of that data’s value is being wasted due to distrust, as there is fear that data will be exposed when it is used, analysed, computed on or shared with collaborators.

However, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) are being developed that can help overcome this challenge. PETs can enable sensitive data to be used for innovation whilst not jeopardizing the privacy and security of data, breaking the privacy-utility trade-off.

The Second Privacy-Enhancing Technology Summit is here to give clear insight into this opportunity. The event will be bringing together industries handling sensitive data, government, technology providers, consultancies, regulators and lawyers to understand how PETs can unlock data-driven innovation and solve the critical compliance issues of today and the near future.

Upon leaving the event you will be able to benchmark and compare different PETs by consulting with stakeholders across the PET ecosystem so that you can understand which are most appropriate for given use cases.

Some Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) include: Confidential Computing (Trusted Execution Environments), Differential Privacy, Federated Learning & Analytics, Homomorphic Encryption, Secure Multiparty Computation, Quantum-Safe Cryptography, Synthetic Data, Tokenization, Zero-Knowledge Proofs and more..
