Boosting the UK’s productivity performance has been discussed as a ‘priority’, but progress in addressing this remains frustratingly slow. What is holding back the North in particular? Can a focused effort between business, government and tech deliver a major step change in productivity and help drive forward innovation? What is currently missing? Join us to discuss how skills, flexible work, tech transformation and collaboration can make an impact.
techUK is pleased to partner with Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) to offer a day’s discussion, including panels, keynotes, and presentations on how innovation and productivity challenges can be addressed. We’ll be exploring the important role of technology for the whole economy, and what this means for the next Government. Sessions will include ‘Are tech and innovation going to address our productivity challenge?’, ‘Are we prepared for the future of work?’, ’The Future of Transport – Connecting the North’, and ‘How can the next Government use technology to power the North?’.
This is a great opportunity to be a part of techUK’s Nations and Regions activity on the Future of Work and Transport, as well as hearing from thought leaders about the actions that mayors, local Government, and the next UK Government need to take to drive forward the UK economy.
