The IBA will continue our forum program for Risk Management Officers again in 2017. We continue to see this specialized area of banking as one that is evolving and one that is crucial to your future success. During our first two years, we have been building an ERM process with the assistance of both our regulators and experts from the various risk management disciplines within our industry and in 2017, we will continue that process.

The forum truly is designed to provide a platform for those institutions that have already begun building their ERM process as well as those that are working toward improving their internal risk management procedures. Our objective is to learn from regulators, industry experts, and, perhaps, most importantly from one another. We see Risk Management as a “non-competitive” industry issue that lends itself particularly well to information sharing and we expect our third year to be filled with such sharing as we continue to enhance management of those key risks.

So, whether you have been with us for 2015 and/or 2016, please consider joining us again in 2017 - we are certain that the evolving nature of enhanced risk management will continue to provide new challenges to you and to our industry. Risk Executives are the target audience for our Forum and our group includes individuals from Audit, Credit, Compliance, and the CFO function - we hope you will join us in 2016 as we continue the journey toward “Enhanced Risk Management”.
