In 2022, celebrates its fifth anniversary as the official energy event and meeting place for the oil, gas and power industries of South Sudan. This is the primary international forum driving business and investment in East Africa’s only major oil producer. In 2022 the organizers and government partners welcome a larger audience of global and South Sudanese energy professionals and leaders than ever before.

This year’s event will emphasize the important role that energy companies play in ensuring the growth of the economy, and the personal and professional growth of the citizens of South Sudan. Important topics will include the interaction of oil companies with communities, the contribution of oil and gas to society and the economy, future projects and expansion of the industry, and encouraging local participation and job creation. The energy transition is a critical focus area for the conference.

In addition to the two-day SSOP conference, this event will host a series of events throughout the surrounding days, under the South Sudan Investment Week campaign, bringing together diverse investors and project leaders in all sectors. The goal of this week of events is to position South Sudan as Africa’s brightest prospect for growth and development.

This event is dedicated to bringing investment to all segments of the energy value chain in Africa and globally, including solar and wind, hydroelectricity, power infrastructure, hydrocarbons exploration and production, refining and petrochemicals, gas to power, and nuclear.
