The gender agenda is about enabling women to balance demands – it has nothing to do with laws and regulations; those are already in place anyway. Beyond being influential as stewards of families, how can women leaders be strategically placed in key policy making decisions in the region? What about the place of women as drivers in credit and technology, peace and security, governance and legal protection, among other concerns? Are women visible and impactful as opinion leaders?
