The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond – Baltimore Branch (FRB of Richmond - BB) will host this webinar to highlight how financial institutions can offer low-cost accounts. These accounts are designed to target communities with high unbanked rates. Bank On Maryland and community partners will share insights on their respective involvement in the Bank On Maryland coalition. Financial institutions will share experiences of offering a Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) certified account. The objective of the webinar is to increase the number of financial institutions offering deposit products that meet the CFE national account standards and increase the number of community partners providing financial information and resources for the unbanked population in Maryland.
Who should attend?
Financial institutions, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) non-profit organizations, other community-based organizations, state and local government, and other stakeholders interested in expanding financial independence to the unbanked population in Maryland.
