Event information
As the UK prepares to leave the EU it is important to understand how the corporate reporting landscape might be very different in the future, to ensure you and your business stay ahead of the curve.

On 21 March 2018, the European Commission opened a Consultation on the EU framework for public reporting by companies, closing on 21 July. This is the start of a longer term ‘fitness check’ of the EU reporting framework. It aims to:

Review whether the EU public reporting framework is still relevant for meeting its objectives, adds value, is effective, internally consistent, coherent with other EU policies, efficient and not unnecessarily burdensome; and
Assess whether it is fit for new challenges (such as: non-financial information reporting, especially sustainability, and digitalisation).
At this event we will be hearing from Hilde Blomme, who will be sharing her views on the future of corporate reporting in Europe as well as updating us on Accountancy Europe’s work in this area.

The presentations are followed by a reception and the opportunity to network with London’s financial reporting community. Attendance at FRDG events is free of charge but places must be booked in advance.

Registration from 17:45 with a prompt 18:00 start.
