While residential real estate landlords and asset owners feel the pressure in Berlin with the expropriation referendum, investors and project developers are trying to better understand the current situation and whether a possible draft law could be given the green light by the expert commission. In the meantime, rising interest rates and inflation from construction costs are enough of a headache to make one wonder how far rents can go and how the market will behave over the next 12 months.
