This event will dispel some myths about the emerging technologies the world can't stop talking about and shine a light on technologies that are receiving less hype – yet are possibly more consequential for the future. That regularly appears in news and print media (e.g. BBC, the Financial Times, CNN, the Guardian) as a technology expert and last year published her first book, Technology Is Not Neutral: A Short Guide to Technology Ethics, which considers how to create and use tools and technologies to maximize benefits and minimize harms and includes research on how biometrics, surveillance, and big data affect our civil liberties and rights in the digital age.
