This event is a unique forum for senior management in financial institutions to assess the impact of the new regime and position their organisation to take advantage of the opportunities it presents.

The summit follows the success of a series of events City & Financial has run over the last three or four years looking at the effect of onshoring the MiFID and MiFIR regimes into UK law and other post-Brexit measures. One of the central issues is, of course, the Treasury’s Wholesale Markets Review.

Other themes to be covered include those that the Treasury has identified as being important for the City as it seeks to build on its status as a leading financial centre. These include facilitating the recruitment and retention of highly-skilled workers from the EU; maintaining London’s dominant position in fintech, payments and crypto assets; becoming the global leader in green finance; and moving forward with UK-US financial services trade liberalisation.

Topics to be covered:
• The Treasury’s Financial Services Future Regulatory Framework Review
• The extent to which divergence from the EU regime will affect the competitiveness of the UK markets
• Streamlining the visa system to facilitate the hiring of highly-skilled workers
• The practical impact of the proposed reforms contained in the Wholesale Markets Review
• The implications of the new regulatory regime for asset managers including the IFPR
• The FCA’s plans to improve London’s attractiveness as a venue for IPOs
• Creating a regulatory environment that underpins the UK’s position as the leading global fintech centre
• The role of climate regulation in making the UK a leader in green finance
• Global opportunities in financial services trade liberalisation

Who Should Attend?
• The event will be invaluable for all City institutions affected by regulatory changes to the financial markets in particular senior management, Directors, VPs and heads of department from: Banks, asset managers, financial service providers, hedge funds, prime brokers, insurers, law firms, regulators, accountants, consultancies, financial technology companies and solution providers.
