The objective of this timely summit is to help financial institutions understand how the UK regulatory framework under which they operate is likely to evolve in both the short- and longer term.

The first part of the day will review the status of the MoU, the UK government’s policy for the future of the City and the wider financial services industry, and the emerging regulatory agenda for both the domestic market and international firms, including a discussion among industry leaders as to whether they think that the UK should diverge or continue with regulatory alignment.

The second part of the day will examine some of the key regulatory initiatives that are already underway in the UK and that the Treasury has identified as being important for the City as it seeks to build on its status as a leading financial centre. These include maintaining its dominant position in fintech, payments and crypto assets; becoming the global leader in green finance; enhancing the attractiveness of the Listing Regime; increasing the international competitiveness of its asset management industry; and moving forward with UK-US financial services trade liberalisation.

This summit builds on the success of our previous five summits that have explored the evolving impact of the UK’s departure from the EU on the UK’s financial services industry. These conferences become ‘must attend’ gatherings for senior decision-makers in the UK financial services industry. Early booking for the April summit is strongly recommended.

Who should attend?
The event will be invaluable for C-suite representatives of banks, asset managers and insurers, as well as their professional providers
