Agribusiness is an essential sector for Brazil's economy , being the main responsible for a large portion of the Brazilian GDP. However, this success depends, among other factors, on efficient and well-structured logistics, planned and executed in order to facilitate the flow of production, reducing losses and optimizing costs.
Currently, transport infrastructure in Brazil faces several challenges that affect the transport of commodities and agricultural inputs, including poor infrastructure, lack of integration between modes, insecurity on roads, lack of storage capacity on rural properties, the seasonality of production and the lack of investment. These challenges represent a significant obstacle to the development of agribusiness and need to be addressed to ensure the competitiveness of Brazilian products in the international market.
Given this scenario, what is needed for agricultural sector executives, logistics operators and public authorities to work together to identify and propose solutions to these challenges? What solutions can overcome the Brazilian production storage dilemma?
